Best eSIM for the Caribbean

Planning an island-hopping adventure in the Caribbean? Get easy and affordable mobile data access in 27 Caribbean countries, including Panama. It’s the perfect choice for your sailing journey around the Caribbean.

The Caribbean is a region comprising of many different small island nations. Staying connected with mobile data across these islands can be challenging, especially for sailors who might not always be docked near a telecom shop.

Moreover, having to purchase numerous local SIM cards can become both expensive and cumbersome.

Explore the Caribbean without limitations

Mobile services tend to be quite expensive in the Caribbean islands, even for locals. As such, there’s no way for tourists to avoid these high costs. This is true for local eSIMs, regional eSIMs and physical SIM cards.

One way of mitigating the cost however, is instead of buying local eSIMs for every destination on your trip, you opt for a regional eSIM card that covers up to 27 Caribbean countries. With it, you can take your data with you when you change country allowing you to save on “leftover data”.

Use Local eSIMs for Larger Data Needs

If you have a large data need in one specific country, say Aruba, then it probably makes sense for you to buy the local eSIM in Aruba as the price pr. GB can be lower for the local eSIMs. You can thus use the regional and local eSIM in combination. Note that the regional eSIMs does not cover Cuba. Here you need to buy the local eSIM which you can find on this link.

GlobaleSIM: A strong alternative

The provider GlobaleSIM has taken a slightly different approach to the Caribbean, where they have bundled a lot of smaller island states across the globe into a regional package. They previously labeled their regional Caribbean eSIM card as a “special” regional eSIM card, but it is now named Caribbean.

This eSIM includes a total of 19 countries spread across the globe, 15 of which are in the Caribbean region. Therefore, naming it a Caribbean eSIM isn’t wrong as you get 15 Caribbean countries plus four additional countries.

Choose Up to 5 GB with a Validity of 21 Days

With GlobaleSIM, you can choose from four different sizes ranging from 1 to 5 GB of data. This gives you more flexibility compared to the offerings from competitor Airalo. The availability of larger data packages also means you can get a lower price per GB compared to Airalo. This is perfect if you expect to use a bit more data on your vacation.
